JPOC's guide to buying wine in the Rewe chain in Germany

The Rewe chain of supermarkets is somewhere in the middle in terms of price and somewhat conservative. They seem to do a failrly good job in wine selection. They have a wider range than the budget stores and decent values.

The name Rewe has been around for quite a while but back in about 2006 a lot of shops that were owned by the sma eparent changed their names from HL to Rewe.

If there is one near you, it is worth having a look. Your money may not go quite so far as in Norma but it will take you longer to reach the point where you have tried all of the wines that interest you.
